What effect will inclement weather have on the project deadline?

We do our best to not let mother nature stop us from working or slowing us down, but sometimes she just doesn't want to play along. If weather is bad enough we may have to adjust the schedule for the job. Any changes to the schedule will be made fully aware to the client as soon as the decision to make changes has been made.

How much I should spend on my landscape?

This is one of those tough calls as it depends on a lot of things such as one's lifestyle and their needs. Many sources state that 10% of a homes value should be spent on the landscape. Whatever the amount spent on a landscape it has been proven to provide a great return on investment. Many homeowners recover 105%-125% or more of their landscaping expenses. The curb appeal that a well thought out landscape can give a home, making it stand out to perspective buyers, is priceless. Nevermind the personal oasis to retreat to during your own stay.

I am selling my house, will a renovated landscape or new landscape increase the value of my home?

People often say "Don't judge a book by its cover," but when buying a home buyers often find it difficult to do that. Even if they are able to look past a poor landscape the majority of home buyers prefer a well maintained exterior and the landscape is a large part of that. A great landscape can really give a great first impression to home buyers and leave a great picture of your house in their head.

Do you charge for your designs?

Yes, depending on the scope of the job, we charge a small fee for our professional designs. A proper design will allow you to better see what your investment will become. We consistently receive rave reviews on how well we are able to demonstrate our vision for our customers projects through our designs.

What can I expect from a GBL design?

You can expect a design that:

  • Accurately shows how the final project will look
  • Incorporates your needs and desires into the project based on the budget
  • Takes into account the environment in which the project will reside upon completion
  • Is aesthetically pleasing
  • Is well planned for potential future project integration

How much input will I have as a client in the design?

As a client you can have as much input in the design as you want. Providing us with a list or some photographs of what you are looking for will help us to know exactly what you are envisioning. We can then take your input and make it a reality.

Can I make or request changes to the design if I do not like something about the initial design?

Of course you can request changes to the design. It is your property and we want you to love it! We will work with you to get the design exactly how you want it and so that it works well for your property.

I only have the money to do so much now but I do plan on having more done later. Should we consider this now or later when I actually decide to have more done?

At the initial consultation everything you want for your property should be laid out on the table. This allows us to plan for future projects making them easier for us and cheaper for you.

My neighbors and a few other people have suggested that I use stamped concrete for the walkway and patio because it is cheaper and last longer. Is this true?

Stamped concrete can have slightly cheaper initial cost but long run it isn't even close. In short concrete pavers are the better option. Still want to know more? Take a look at our Benefits of Concrete Pavers page.
